
Peter Obi, who was a presidential candidate for the Labour Party, strongly condemns the attack that occurred in the community of Ungwan Wakili in the Zango Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The former Governor of Anambra expressed his strong disapproval of the recent event via Twitter on Sunday. He called on the Federal Government to take action against those responsible for the incident.
Obi said, “I am shocked by the reports of a terror attack on Ungwan Wakili community in Zango Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State with high casualties. I strongly disapproved of the act and condemned it wholeheartedly, especially given the high number of casualties.
The primary responsibility of any government in power should be to ensure the safety and security of Nigerians. In order to create a New Nigeria where people can feel safe and free, security agents must take their duties seriously and prioritize the protection of citizens.
l urge the relevant authorities to bring the perpetrators of the attacks to justice.
He also expressed his concern of the violent acts and also conveyed his sympathies to the families of the victims who are mourning the loss of their loved ones.
