Manchester united are ready to go for the young Super Eagles star, but Napoli are not ready to let him go
Manchester United still shows their interest in Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen during the winter transfer window.
After his performance last season, the likes of Osimhen attracted some of Europe’s big boys. Real Madrid, PSG, Bayern Munich, Arsenal, and Chelsea were all linked to the former Lille hitman.
Moreover, the intelligent Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis block that deal in form of a €120million price tag for the 23-year-old. And that was enough to shoo away all potential admirers.
Victor Osimhen began the season on clean sheet, scoring two goals in five Serie A games for the Partenopeans before he got injured. But the rumours linking him to Manchester United have still not died down.
However, Manchester United would want to sign a striker in January, and Osimhen could be the target.
Despite the slow start of the season, Manchester United has now picked form, winning five of their last six games before the international break. Rashford is fully back to his former self of playing games, scoring three goals in six league games.
Although, he seems to be the only striker in-form at the club, with Cristiano Ronaldo struggling with the pace, and Martial constantly nursing injuries.
Osimhen would make a great impact to Manchester United especially with his pace and great finishing ability.
